From experience you should count yourself amazingly lucky. I've hit roo's at 30k and stoved the entire front end in. At over 100 the scene is less than pretty. It must have been some weird, lucky angle not injure the roo.

nik is right.

hitting a kangaroo at best is rather damaging.

if your grille's popped off, chances are, there's further underlying damage.

time for something like this?

Ive missed a roo at 100km/h by about 2 inches. Also hit one in a troopy and a minibus. That was fun! Front left corner got a nice new red paint job. I often see another dark green gen2 RX with a Legacy boot driving around the Gosford area and this morning i saw it again. Only this time it had a nose job. The thing had a massive front end smash :( Not a pretty sight!

I hit a small roo once at just on 70k's, was lucky that it kind of hit my fog light area then went under the car and to the side a bit, he hobbled off (not sure what state) and only damage to my car was that the fog light cover popped off.. I popped it back in and you couldn't tell I had hit anything... although there were a few tufts of fur caught on a few bits of the bar.
I was very amazed at that.
