Hahaha. Oh man, I just turned my computer on today and I've got the countdown of death flashing at me... It's done Windows updates and MUST restart.. I can't leave it now for fear I will come back to a freshly restarted computer. Bastard.

No more XR6 turbo's for the coppers in WA! Why is a computer restart so bad? Or is it because Windows updates always manage to ruin the world?

I'd say he is using the "trial" windows 7. Oh, and notepad is far better at stopping the PC from shutting down :D

;)
+1 post for me.
Look at me I'm a home owner

But literally as of tomorrow I am a home owner woop woop!!!

I will be too by early next week...woo for us both!

haha i'm exchanging contracts on my new place on Friday as well!

I did my house contracts earlier this week, only loan docs to go!!

I'd rather die a death of wasps stabbing me with sharp black dildos.

Mortgage docs!! Congrats guys. Seems to be the week for it. I'm signing all mine over after finalizing everthing from the breakup with my ex!

UGH!! I am so over owning my own house hahahahaha.. mainly coz the builder i went thru are a bunch of fuckwits. they were great while it was being built but after sales service is fkn shocking. I'd never buy someones second hand house.. im not into pre-loved lol. but i dont know if id ever build again either. i think ill just buy a caravan and live on a vacant block hahahaha... do like that caravan pic floating around where you have like a caravan for each room hahaa.. it was so much easier when renting because if something is broked you call the landlord.. oii come fix... now i am the landlord lol.. I'm also an expert painter now.. spent the last week sealing, sanding/filling and then painting the wet areas in the house.. so far so good.. havent knocked over the tin of paint!!!! hahaha :)

I built with my ex and that was a nightmare within itself. I cant refinance because i have to go thru the whole FHOG crap(bring on 7 months time when the 12 months expires) plus the penalty fees from going with Keystart. They wrote a letter basically saying if i cannot come up with a reason aside from the fact that my ex lives with his new gf then he needs to live in the house as per the fhog.. my ex goes "just tell them i bashed you or something" lol.. but i cant do that! I'm also a contractor so its proving difficult to find a bank thats willing to refinance me because my contracts are all over WA and not necessarily with one company!!!!! but this contract im on now want me to go to permanent so fingers crossed that eventuates and i can transfer the loan over to my name then get the titles changed... i hope its that easy! haha. - i honestly wouldnt have a clue whats involved. I'm not buying him out because he never put any money towards it so hes just a name on a piece of paper! atleast my ex isnt a pain in the arse and isnt harassing me to get his name off quicker because he knows with his new gf he cant afford to build his own. things might change tho.. her mummy and daddy pay out all her debts.. bring on the new ceo of this company so they can roll over my contract to permanency :D hehehehe...

CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS COC!

Nope, does not work.

No more XR6 turbo's for the coppers in WA!

Why is a computer restart so bad? Or is it because Windows updates always manage to ruin the world?

It takes too long.

I'd say he is using the "trial" windows 7.

Just finished my first session at Wakefield in the Sherpa. Racing is off for an hour for lunch but then we're back out there. Was suffering some major brake fade after about 4 laps but over all she's going great guns. Chopped a civic!! But got chopped by everyone else :P

I just went to use it and had to log in again because windows restarted itself last night!!!!!!!!!!

...lots of words...

Cant wait to own my own house.

Renting = dead money.

Parents have a flat attached to their house so will live there after the wedding rent free (will continue the automatic $50/week board payment) for a little while until we have enough for a deposit on something of our own.

Congrats to all you people who have recently/will be in the very near future, be buying their own place. Its a good step!

I've just gone through the transfer of title and mortage from joint names over to mine. It's a fairly annoying process and is not as easy as just signing a few bits of paper.
You will need (both you and your ex) a solicitor, a family law one to manage the transfer of land.
Firstly you both need to come to an agreement on the settlement terms of the transfer over to your name. Beware, family lawyers will try to take you for money in order to let your ex get what they deem to be "fair" compensation. In order to get around this, you will need to get something in writing from your ex stating that he doesn't want any finiancial payout and incorporate this into a binding financial agreement - This can only be executed through the solicitors.
You will also need to complete a "financial statement kit". This will protect you in the future if he ever decides that he has some claim to the house, assets, your superannuation e.t.c.

While this is all been negotiated with the solicitors, you will need to contact the bank, as they hold the title of the land. You need to arrange a discharge authority of the existing mortgage, in preperation of the change of title and payout of your existing loan and transfer of the mortgage into a new account under your name only. Your solicitor can request this or you can request it yourself.

Once your binding financial agreement is all signed off, the bank will then send out new mortgage docs, transfer of land docs e.t.c.

It's a long process and there is no easy work around unless you decide that you want to keep the house under both your names - which I would not recommend given that it sounds as though your ex is contributing nothing towards the payment or upkeep of the property. You don't want him to come back in "x" amount of years claiming that he has a a vested interest in the property and demanding a payout and or sale of it.

I started this whole process back at the beginning of August and am only just now coming to the tail end of it all.
