Hm. Got back from go karting and then dinner for a mates birthday tonight. Also got to see his freshly imported EVO 7 and go for a ride in it (John-E on this forum). Seriously, if I could, I would sell up my Lib and buy an evo. I would miss the boxer burble, and the Subaru badge - but holy crap they are really nice cars. This car is pure JDM goodness, carbon fibre bonnet and boot, HID headlights, DEFI gauges, BRIDE bucket drivers seat - the works. They really do seem like a fantastic package, apparently have VERY strong drivetrains in the 7's as well (5 speed), and closed deck block from factory. What's everyone else's thoughts on the evo's ? I admit, at first I didn't like them, then the more I have read / seen / heard about them the more I started thinking 'these things must be pretty good' and after being in one now I can honestly understand what everybody is talking about.

Yes every time I see an evo, especially the 9 I think hmmmm sell the sub and get one. But 3 things make me say no. They don't sound awesome like a sub, everyone will notice me and want a race, including cops and they cost heaps more than my cheap as wagon.
I often think 4G63 vs. EJ20? Iron block inline vs. Alu boxer. Then I think about this:

Tom don't fret, I know we hang shit on you for owning a gen3 but.. after driving it today, i change my mind... it really is a nice car... but gen2 still stands superior on my list lol.
