For any of you guys that do any torrent downloading, Demonoid.com have opened up regristration, they dont do this very often, for ages a current member had to send you an invitation before you could join, and it is probably the best torrent download site around.

I have one of those 3x power sockets for my GPS, iPod and spare. Mine has a little button on the plug that goes into the cars power socket so i can individually turn it off :) Looks like you're ready to roll Tom! When you coming to Syd?

I actually have 4 slots lol Because it's hardwired to the back of the normal 12V socket so that the original one works as well :D win

When you coming to Syd?

Possibly never, Hopefully on the way back though! around the 28th

So how's this right.. Astra went in for regular service today (just oil change) and mechanic out of curiosity had a look at the pollen filter. This was optioned when the car was ordered. Throughout the initial warranty period Holden did not look at this, simply stating that 'the car did not have one'. Once my regular mechanic commenced servicing of it after the warranty period, he just assumed it didn't need changing. Adding to the confusion further, they can be placed in 2 locations on this model apparently, either in behind the glove box or under the bonnet somewhere (I think). Anyway, had a look at the one behind the glove box and it was totally jam packed. He took it out and tested the fans in the car and they actually work properly now! Hot days lookout - AC is gonna be pumping! Unbelievable really, put up with the bad airflow in this car for so many years as did my old man - just accepting the fact that something was not right with it when all along it was a bloody pollen filter!

i want a pollen filter :( lol. finally got insualtion in my house... OMFG such a difference, its 35deg outside today, popped in home for lunch while driving between sites, it was actually cooler in the house! this has never been the case!!! usually its a deg or more hotter inside and if you touch the roof its usually hot to the touch! and would not cool down overnight... now its like atleast 10deg cooler inside without even having the portable aircon on! run the aircon and set it at 24 it tunrs itself off after a few minutes and reverts to Fan mode :D so so happy! i will be able to sleep for the rest of summer :D and also winter will bring cheaper heating bills instead of having the heater on 24/7 money saved is going to help nicely for our own Deposit :) also, was driving the work astra today.. but was thinking WTF its way too slow on take off.. like were talking 15- 20 seconds to get to 80km/h i was thinking maybe its just that shit and the heat kills it lol then i realised snow mode was on LOL taking off in 3rd FTL... sport shift made me feel like i was in turbos after that lol

Insulation is an absolute must. Was yours subsidised by the gov. or is all that finished now? I have a mainly rammed earth home, so it insulates itself. Don't even need fans on 35+ days. :D

I have a mainly rammed earth home, so it insulates itself. Don't even need fans on 35+ days. :D

Subsidised still, yet the landlord chose the joint that was a dodgy indian company that did mass calling and quoted $200 more than the rebate (so he had to pay out money still)
i was actually keen on the local guy we called ourselfs and he was going to give us a $100 bunnings voucher and be within the rebate, and was a better type of insulation... sad really... again the small local gets pushed out.

and i swear to god they are so stupid the company that rings me all the time...

them: Hello sir, im calling from (can never understand where) i am calling about the government reba.....
Me: stop stop stop, i got insulation installed on Friday I don't need it.
them: yes sir that's good but we are are doing it for free under the government reba.....
Me: i know i have already had it done on Friday.
them: yes sir i understand but we can insulate your home for free.
me: STOP, LISTEN TO ME, i already have insulation it was installed 2 days ago, why the hell( even if it was free) would i want insulation put in AGAIN?
them: ok sir.... do you have any other houses, we are doing the insulation for free under the government re.....
me: oh yeah!
them: yes sir how many houses do you own?
me: right now i have 4, but i will soon have 7... 2 on Strand, 2 on Fleet St and 3 on Trafalgar Square, you know because of the go directly to Trafalgar Square card.. its a gamble but that's my strategy...
them: sorry sir what is the address?
Hangup.

Morning all ...well almost afternoon for us easterners! Tom, I find when the GPS isnt in clear view of the sky is cuts out signal all the time? Can you charge it up from that angle too? Otherwise, looks good :) In other news, Katie got an email last night from the writer of a well known bridal blog (shes all into that stuff) who came across Katies blog and photos of our engagement party. She asked if she could feature us in one of her entries! This blog is one that Katie, my sister and thousands of other people follow and it feels an honour to be recognised!
