Police are appealing for public help over the destruction of luxury cars worth more than $1 million, in a fire in Sydney's north-west last month.

The cars were inside a smash repair workshop at Mulgrave which was set on fire.

Police believe the offenders broke into the workshop to set the cars alight.

They say days earlier two men had threatened the business owners and a car in the driveway had also been set alight.

About 6.30pm on Tuesday 11 May two men entered a smash repairer on the corner of Curtis Road and Aspinal Place at Mulgrave and made threats towards the owners. The men set fire to a Ford Falcon parked in the driveway of the business before fleeing the scene. They were last seen running along nearby Mulgrave Road. The men have been described as being of Middle Eastern appearance. About 1.30am on Thursday 20 May unknown person/s have forced entry into the same business and set fire to a number of vehicles. At the time the workshop contained a number of high performance cars including a Rolls Royce, a Porsche, a Lamborghini and several Ferraris. The Porsche was completely destroyed by fire and the other cars were damaged. nThe damage bill from the fire is estimated at approximately $1 million. Windsor Police attended the scene and conducted a forensic examination of the workshop. A number of items were seized for forensic examination and on-going inquiries are continuing by police to identify those involved in the incident. ---------------some nice cars in there....
