I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. But it IS used to gather supplies for the kitchen.

So I'm letting it slide. This time only.

HAHAHA yeah that is my plan, but I am going to use a different esky and put a tap (not a literal garden tap) on it, I hear you can use brass but you need to soak it in something first to remove any traces of lead, either way I would be more keen to use stainless Me thinks.

I also want to tap the HLT so that I can just get the water up to temp and then release for sparging, relying on gravity to feed.. I just need to get another big pot to use for the boil.. which I need anyways... decided I want to try and do this shit ghetto spec :D

A copper tap? I don't think I have ever seen a copper tap. Where would you get one of those?

Given how soft copper is I wouldn't think it would be a very good material for a tap?

Just use copper somewhere in your system. Not the tap itself.

LOL haha god you are a tripper :P hehehe and yes I have used copper, I made myself a full ghetto spec immersion chiller, one end fits over my kitchen tap with a tight seal, other end pops back out into the drain, run nice fresh cold water through the copper tubing to cool the wort after boil, on Sunday it took about 35mins to chill the wort down to 22 degrees. I am going to add a second coil to the inside of the larger coil as I don't think their was enough copper coils in the first one.

I used to let it cool down slowly, then I read in this book I got (John Palmer.. dunno how reliable it is) that a cold break was desirable :D so I thought me.. just try and make it happen

I hate it when you're sitting on the Morgan for so long that your legs go numb.
