I do wonder how these cars actually drive. If they are no better, or even worse, than standard, you've essentially Posted Image'ed up with your modifying.

I went looking at home opens today. We're going to be selling up in the not too distant future and we're trying to get an idea of what your money buys in various suburbs we think we might deem suitable for us.
We went to one house today that on paper sounded great. It was an absolute shithole. Seriously not only was the place not tidied up for the home opens, but it didnt look like it had been cleaned ever! The owner was a chain smoker so your nose and lungs were violated the second you stepped in the door. The floors hadnt been vacuumed, the walls were grimey, the ceiling had that orange smoke tar stain, there were colonies of spiders living everywhere, the bathroom was just offensively dirty, I couldnt bring myself to look at the toilet. You'd have to gut the place before you could move in. you certainly wouldnt even entertain the idea of using the kitchen. It was feral. We felt dirty walking out of there. Worst of all, after we got home and did some pottering around, i had to go out to my car. When I sat in it, it smelt of that house! Blaaaaaarggghhhhhh!
How the **** do people live like this?
Seriously you'd have to drop $40k off the asking price simply so you could spend the money to get it to a liveable standard.

Sig worthy.

It might seem hard to do so, but can you look past all that and get yourself a bargain?

The house we lived in from 91-99 started like that. I was only 1 when we moved in but it was owned by filthy people. Smoke stains lined the walls, blinds looked like they'd never been opened. House was cheap as chips. Team of friends and family helped clean, paint, renovate etc and it was the home I loved grew up in for the next 8 years.

I know what you mean man. Rach and I are looking at houses at the moment, and we haven't had this situation, but have had the discussion of what we would do of we found a great house but was a smokers house. And I'm just a down right no. Unless it was priced so that the place could be gutted. But even then I think the smell would be in te frame. And being an ex smoker I find I'm extra sensitive to it. Forking hate the smell!

Honestly morgan, this place was that bad. Like I said, you'd have to drop some serious money and gut the place before you could move in. Definitely new kitchen, new bathroom, new floor coverings, I reckon you'd even need new ceilings, cornices and skirting boards. Like Adam said I reckon the smell would be right to the core of the house.

Sig worthy.

.We've had pretty good experiences with houses so far which is good.

Last one we looked at was on a 1200sq m block! With a decent size 2 car and a bit shed

Best part is its not openly on the market, and we are using an agent that is a friend of dads who is really helping us out and advising is on prices.

I know you guys will probs not know, but does anyone have any idea what it costs roughly to get a car shipped from the US?

Also, LHD to RHD?

i know ;) work on roughly 5k port to port. Compliancing anything +30yrs is cheap as you can drive it lhd. Converting it would destroy its value unfortunately

Oh Hai.

Wheres old man Jase when you need him.
JASE, Y U NO ONLINE

Because I was in Bendigo for the largest swap meet in the southern hemisphere thats' why.

Ebay has killed it. Imagine piles of flogged out old car parts with ridiculous price tags. All the good stuff was waayyy too dear. $500 for a worn out Holden LSD diff? GTFO. After going every year for the last ten or so, this may have been the last.

I got window break light there already.

IIRC if you have a spoiler BRAKE light then the window BRAKE light is not permitted to operate. ie, you can have one or the other, but not both. Might have to go through my (Vic) RWC stuff to check.

Wait..... whaaaa?
oh hai Mazda Roadpacer

Ha! These thing went like a snail and used obcene amounts of fuel. Built on a Premier IIRC.
They sold SFA.

LHD aint the end of the world! Whenever Pop buys a new Willys/Ford Jeep he converts them back to LHD if they are RHD, originality FTW.

I have tyres I don't want, plenty of tread.. or good burnout tyres. Can't decide if I should sell them, or free to good home? Guessing 3 old tyres don't go for much these days :scratch_one-s_head:

Also SubyClub Brisbane cruise next weekend, which should be fun. http://www.subyclub....-bribie-island/
