I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Thought I'd share the update. Had a call from Nik a bit earlier. Seems it's still raging down there. Still about 18km from him, bit they have shutdown the road only 5km from him. He's pretty confident it won't get to them though.
So confident he's still heading out for dinner.

Good to hear about Nik. Been in the same situation quite a few times myself.

Last time I was sure I was coming home to our house on fire, both sides of the road still burning, but we were missed completely.

We live right on the edge of water catchment/national park. So there's 2 parties that oppose back burning, plus there is alot of lightening strikes out there, so when they catch, they go.

Really like those wheels!

How long ago Bretty? I was chatting to him not long back, maybe an hour ago and I am pretty sure the radio told him he had to evacuate.. he seemed to think so at the time.

K, yeah at start of the conversation he was keen to go out to dinner just up the road he said, he then got into the car and started driving then just before he got to the house it come across the radio places that had to leave and he said "yeah that's me, I gotta go"
