Your dad has a masters degree at being a mechanic, but he has no proper advice for you?

Basically.

Seriously only one comment in an hour?

Seriously sell the lib any way u can. Don't waste your money on it.

Save your monies and buy something decent. U live in a small town. Buy a bike and ride to work.

I would rather walk than spend $350 on a bike (seriously thats the cheapest one).

I'd do the Ez30 conversion.

I would just but a 6 speed gen4 with one already if i could get the money.

E: Situation is... One house mate has just left, all my bills have increased, so saving money is maybe $20 a week.
I have applied for other jobs in townsville, if i am able to get one, i cannot get to townsville as i wont really have a car.
Got about $3000 sitting aside that i can either spend on a new car (with the combination of money from the liberty if it sells), something like a commodore etc.
In november the lease is up, so if i haven't moved i will have to rent my own place which will stop me from saving completely.

Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Can't be fussy with that budget tbh. Get another deflector, aviod trying to be ken block for a while. It is tiring seeing the same posts over and over about how poor, far away and shit your life is.

Get an old AE92 Corolla or something, with ~200k on it for about $2k, sweet ride, reliable as Posted Image. You may have to fly down to Brisbane to get it in the worst case. Otherwise, fix the damn liberty lol.

If it doesn't sell tonight i may just have to bite the bullet and fix it.

Bout $1500 for the engine, then replace belts and service it before i put it in, find an engine crane so around $2000 after all that.
Then i will fix a few other things with what i have left, like the fuel level in the tank, the temp and fuel gauges as well as the cruise control (Actuator i think).

See what happens.
If anyone has got the parts then please send me a pm with asking price.

If it doesn't sell tonight, limp it out to a paddock, and burn it.

But don't get out of the car.
