I did some browsing and I think I read on another forum that they are +38. Im planning on going with some new rims and am curious how much negative offset I can get under the guards to give a nice aggressive stance.

Yeah thats what Im thinking. Is it possible to fit lower offset rims in the rear when compared to the front?

Used to have a 5mm spacer in the rear but took it out, as when the car had abit of gear/people in it, it would constantly rub.

+38, 15mm spacer in the front and could fit bigger easily if I went with 225's. So front offset is +23.

Yes.
Thanks mate, my car is a BH Legacy, so I expect that it will probably have less clearance? +23 sounds amazing. I did think at that offset they would stick out more, but maybe the Outback wide fenders hide it a bit. Whats the width of the rims?

Outback's have flares that are maybe 20mm wide, plus the guards are pulled ALOT and I run silly camber.

Paint mixed up, this is where I thought "what have I done...";

Then after seeing them sprayed, baked and the tyres mounted, I thought "that actually looks pretty cool" - and yes that is a baby, my son Digby, in the back;

Cut out some "ill" stickers and slapped them on (2.5" stickers fit pretty well on Rota centre caps).

Nearly the same colour WFC sticker, and haters are gonna hate, just like potatoes are gunna potate.
