Anyone got any recommendations on places/things i should check out in Melbourne this weekend?
So far ive got Queen victoria markets, some factory outlet at docklands, and i wanna stop in St kilda and go to some cake shop/bakery things that i seen when i was last there in march. I'm only in the city really, for saturday and monday arvo.
the Casino is worth a look mate. even with anyone under 18 with you theres a heap in there to check out and just see how huge it is. Docklands is worth checking out also and the surrounding areas.
only other thing i can suggest is Skydeck at Eureka tower. great view from there on a good day. since you cant go on that ferris wheel there. because broken.
Mark was driving my car and then a box appeared in front of the car after a twat threw it. Mark avoided it with finesse. Like a sir.
typical Thursday night in Newcastle really, avoiding thrown projectiles. but having Brembo brakes helps in that situation
also, after driving your car, ive realised how much i hate my clutch. Dual Mass can get
'ed.

@Josh: I wonder if you could seal pack them and send some over? Customs? Not sure. I could make you a couple of bottles of Chilli Vodka from your very own Chilli's!
Brettovski! Good luck for the exam today, mate!!!
You'll nail it! You fuckin' love yeast infections!

Those ferris wheel things are always broken, all over the world. I remember when Perth ordered one, or rented it or whatever, and it was the wrong size. Haha.
that ones worked maybe 4 weeks of its entire life. the rest of its life has been spent being built, taken down, rebuilt. maybe one day it will work.

it is the one next to the exhibition centre.
Also very sound advice. There's an awesome spot there called The Sharing House ( http://www.thesharinghouse.com.au/ ) which is great to have lunch after/before hitting up the DFO craziness.
From my sister re: top patisserie;
there's a place called il forneo next to The Prince Hotel which is delicious!

The one in Perth was so small it just had no impact, well at least to me, you could walk up the Narrows Bridge for free and get the same bloody view.

Can you use dried chillies in the vodka? just wondering how fresh they would stay in the post even if they were sealed?
Obviously, you will be hitting up Lygon street right??? hahaha if you didn't have that on your agenda... put it there. Nik knows all the good eating and watering holes there.

I'm making strawberry liqueur, about 2.5 weeks ago I just chopped up half a punnet, put it in a jar, added sugar and Absolut Vodka, then a week later drained, strained put damp strawberries back in jar, added butt load of sugar (Sugar pulls out the alcohol sucked up by the fruit). Put drained alcohol in bottle in liquor cabinet. Then strained strawberries a week later, added alcohol to bottle, put strawberries back in jar and added more sugar.....
This sound about right? Got the recipe/method off some drunkmansguide.com thing. Only using a small amount of strawberries and vodka because making liqueur virgin.
Cheers,
Nick
