Question: do you pronounce 'chorizo' how it's spelt or do you say 'choritzo'?

Cho - Ree - Soo

ITZO is considered very crude. But we are Australian.

Well.

I am.

And a big plus one to anyone that ventures to my hood - I'll take you there myself they all know me by name. They close at 4:30pm and I called up after five the other day desperate for a fix, and the Mum came out from fencing in the paddock to serve me. Good people. Between them and where I get my meat from I feel so sad for people that have to go to the supermarket for meat.

Still looking for a solid Chook connect though... I know Phat has one, but that ain't too local.

Who knew Jaeger meant 'Hunter'?

Not me.

HUNTER MASTER?

Might have the same sort of origins as Wild Turkey? (Being named after the wild turkey hunters of central east America).

@Nik, kempsey/swr/along the macleay = me. they'll be fine.

kempsey is where I went to school, and shaz's favorite place in the world.

I was just pissed that the really nice rainforest area up in the back of the valley is burning out. world heritage listed because it is ancient growth. wad hoping to camp there soon.

It will replenish, circle of life, Simba, all that shit.

:)

The new growth down here is amazing, I think this will be one of the best wildflower seasons ever. Alisha should be able to take some great photos!

Hi Alex!

I need to sort my shit out and get one of the butcher bulk meat packs!

If you want any advice on how to approach this, I am always an ear.

What are you looking to spend? Grain/grass/cuts/storage/weights/origin/packaging/uses

Just whatever. I am assuming you're looking to purchase an entire animal and get it slaughtered and portioned?

:)

Ahhh gotcha. There is a butcher that does a half a side of beef for like 300 or something

But they also have packs that are like 5 different cuts/animals that equates to about $10 kg

Sounds like a great deal, depending on what the meat is like.

$300/side isn't cheap (not silly at all though!!!!) so I'd imagine it would be a locally reared animal. Always worth checking out where your food comes from!

I'd dare say it is local. We aren't exactly short of farms here!

People across the road from mum and dads would probably sell us a lamb too. Like I said, just have to pull my finger out!

Hows Lish's photography going, Nik?

Kt and I are getting camera gear for Christmas this year. Last Thurs I bought a 50mm f1.4 lens which arrived today. Had a little play with it tonight and seems like a great bit of kit.

Also bought a D5100... Still waiting for that to arrive though :)

Yes, do that, you also enjoy slow cooking, so a side is a good idea. You will find majority of the meat will be stewing, but you also like burgers, so make sure you get some of it minced!

She has some great shots from Sydney. Perhaps if she returns to me I'll share them with you all!

I am working hard on it. Had another 'date' today.

Shit go, Nik! All the best bro! Didn't know shit was going down. But obviously the gee tee isn't for sharing everything!

Nice one Morgan! Hopefully my new work will be getting a 3d cad package soon. Learning sheet metal is hard when you have to manually do all the working out! So used to having it done for me!

Also jello on the dslr. I'll have one one day! :)
