seems I've picked up some kind of virus. Had blood tests this arvo to see whats kicking around inside me. Doc reckons being run down is making it hard for my body to fight it.

I have a good mate who I have known for over 20 years and have done heaps of stuff together over that time.
Been a few issues along the way but always got it sorted.......until now.
A few weeks back he calls me up to ask if I need firewood as there is some near his house (he has a fire too) and could i come over and cut him some and take some for myself. I tell him Im OK and also that Im too busy as I have a heap of assignments to mark by the next day.
He says it will only take take 10mins so could I still come over. I refuse again but tell him I will call him as soon as I get the marking done.(He knows i won't lend my chainsaw as it's too dangerous)
I get the guilts so I call him and tell him I have a spare chainsaw I no longer use and if he comes over and we get it running, he can keep it.
He comes over, I spend nearly an hour getting it going put some fuel and oil in it (he unscrews the petrol cap and askes me to fill it as it's not full) and send him on his way.
He calls about an hour later saying he cant get it started and could I come over and cut the wood with my saw.
I tell him Im still busy and will call him later.
Late afternoon I call him and offer to help only to be told quite bluntly help was no longer needed.
He is now seeking an apology as my behaviour was not in the spirit of mateship and had he called any of his other mates, they would have helped out regardless.
Am I a poor mate?
