So tired. Even bailed early on the Elton concert last night. So farkin' hot in that arena I nearly died. I wasn't alone, people were streaming out and there was obviously still a good half hour left...

Was insanely hot and the arena is stupid steep where my seats were. Some people walked in, sat down, and just walked out again because it was making them dizzy/scared of heights.

Silver Tier my arse. Also, it was meant to be the only concert the old bugger played, but the Saturday night act cancelled and he stepped in. I have a feeling he had ONE concert PER city in him.

His words were kind of running together a bit, but I guess the songs are classic enough that it doesn't really matter.

I think one show, as planned, probably would have been the smarter option. But that George Michael character didn't rock up, so Elton said yes? He doesn't really care about money, but it would have been a disaster for Perth if the first ever concert at the arena got canned. Haha.

So I guess good on him, but compared to what the reviews of his Saturday night show were... I think we missed out.

All good though. Still a cool thing to go to, and now I've seen Elton live before he dies.

they've been talking about getting grants etc for bowling since i was a lad. never going to happen

i got a subsidy for my Level 1 when i did it 2 years ago. only had to pay for half of it which was good. mind you it was a damn sight cheaper even at full price than the level 2.

Fiance is good.

Shopping is fun atm, building up furniture at the moment so our house isn't completely empty when we buy one next year.
Been buying some old furniture and doing it up, sanding/painting etc. which is a bit of fun but takes a lot of time.

No real wedding plans, looked at a couple of venues/wineries.

Need to send out the engagement party invites first.

Restoring old goodies is the way to go. My old man is getting a little frustrated with the amount of old crappy cupboards, chairs and sideboards that are building up in the garage haha!

Restoring a 70's sideboard atm (that was bought off ebay for 25 bucks) that was all sorts of weird colours. Didn't get far on it on the weekend. Just striped it back to the original veneer. Ready to make it a bit more clean.
