Took the liner out for a slide the other night.

I've realised I need more lock, a tighter diff (possibly a fluid change might fix this), removal of HICAS, and coilovers.

Do the R34's run a viscous LSD like the R33's? If they do, the fluid gets really dirty and contaminated by the metal shims as they wear. Probably only a problem if the diff is serviced regularly i guess?

I recently helped a mate Shim his R33. Started off just locked, but after driving around it's loosened up so it doesn't skip whilst parking etc and want to under steer everywhere haha

Yeah, runs a VLSD. I've not changed the diff oils since I've owned it, so I might change the oil, and maybe look at the shims while the oils out.

Was it you that wanted me to keep an eye out for a manual MY06-MY07 wagon?

Got a mad deal too. Hahahaha. I love rorting car salesmen.

Yeah I don't think you're rorting the salesman...

I'd say the other way around.

You're under the avg kms and right at the bottom of the trade-in values.

http://redbook.com.a...r&Ridx=0&eapi=2

There are zero 3 Maxx Sports under $10k with less than 100k kms.

How come you didn't want to sell it privately.

A lot of people cannot be bothered with private sale, especially when moving up, or to something new.

I know I can never be bothered private sale, that's why I'm so slack on selling the OBK. If I was upgrading again, I'd definitely trade in.

My dads trying to privately sell his VY S after buying the Honda privately. We weren't going to go private but this one had accessories and none of the dealer ones did, or were in quite as good condition. So yeah, Silver VY in the yard with a sign on it atm lol. We're hoping some P plater picks it up, its got VE SS wheels because racecar.

Morgsy, It hasn't had a service in 35000kms, it has a few little dings, the tyres and struts need replacing and it runs out of rego on Wednesday. And it's due for its 100,000km.

We could have sold it privately, but I just couldn't be bothered with people haggling etc etc. at 8500 for the trade, and 5600 off the rrp price of the car, it was more a convenience thing then anything.

The only time we've even considered trading in was with the Lexus. Only because it had 170k kms, no rego, bald tyres and body was in avg condition due to being a daily on Cenny Coast roads...!

Was about to do it for $14k but the new car fell through. Dad put it up on CS for $18k to see if there'd be any interest. Got so many calls it wasn't funny! Rego lapsed so dad put 6 months on it and some new tyres (only cheapies). Ended up selling it a week later for $17k.

Even if Shaz put the 3 up for $11k and sold it for 10, he'd be $1500 up and it still would've been the cheapest Maxx Sports on CS in NSW!

I'm a tolerant person :P

Had the OBK and SSS for sale for 2 months each.

Few people came around to check them out but I got the price I was after in the end :)

Had 2 other cars to drive around in at the time which helps... Not in such a rush to get rid of the 3rd...
