Weird. I wonder if something has happened when MRT took the ECUtek off?

Maybe they're just slow?!

I've driven Josh's B4 and it wasn't heeeap fast. I think my XT is ...punchier when boost hit.

A week from now we can see :)

Nah I didn't have MRT do anything, didn't go see them yet... previous owner said the ECU was replaced with a stock one... but I don't know if that is really true either..

Yes if someone could check out my car on the cruise, that would be great... LOL!

I really hope there is more power to be had from this car than I'm getting... its nice, but still seems a little too weak for a car thats means to be awesome... LOL

I had a HD Hero until it came off my wrx at 130 clicks up mt.sugarloaf.

Camera was never the same after that. Video ends with me running up to it saying: Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image, Oh it still works.

Tough things! I really should get a safety string :P

I have a 2 now. Want a 3!

They're not as aggressive on primary boost, but it does come on earlier, the whole point of the twin system. You get more of a kick when you knock it back on an open road and jump onto the secondary - as it pulls into warp speed. I get the feeling Ziggy's suffering from some kinda MRT aids. But by todays standards, they aren't an incredibly quick car.

Don't like them at all though, Fixed way to many. Dat blue leather and they usually need new short blocks :P

I think there is 2 versions of the Blue leather, maybe it just looks worse in cars that aren't Blue, because it gets positive comments all the time. Motor is enough to make most grown men weep, but my local mechanic doesn't mind working on it lol. If its farked, it might get an engine swap - or a new toy in my driveway. Mine went in for its 175k (@170k) service last week and came out all positive, so probably will keep it longer.

Speaking of the car... it needs a good detailing. Maybe tomorrow if its not raining... like it has been for the last 3 months straight.

Coolant consuption, and coolant smell. Maybe its a weeping HG instead?

But doesn't overheat.....And there was a couple of little bubbles in the overflow today, but not like bong spec bubbles.. Couldve just been an unbled system.

Awesome pic mate... even for phone spec... mine was with a camera, but not a DSLR or anything... still quite decent...

Yeah its a nice car for sure, but I don't get the kick, even from the second turbo I guess... I just thought its coz its an auto..

Yeah I don't know whats up with it, like my 02 VY Commodore seemed to go harder when I put my foot down... and it had way less power, 156kw according to Holden as compared to the B4 which is 176kw for an auto... so something must be up, but no tuner will take a look at it or try anything, so I have to rely on someone at the central coast meet to check it out fi they can, and see if something might be up, then I can take the car to someone and tell them to look into something particular. I guess a tune would be good, from Pulse, who said they can do it, but man... $1200 is a lot of money when I just bought the car... :(

Well mine is the same car (history aside), and to my knowledge its on the stock tune, motor is stock. And its way faster than my dads VY S, which he only sold a couple months ago. I mean that felt like a typical 6, but felt wheezy when you gave it the berries (typical commodore). The B4 kinda explodes with a surge of power once you get the revs high enough, and pull its heavy arse out of the auto ditch (first gear is slooow).

Hmmm then there might be something up with mine, and it might not be the ECU, if yours is stock, unless mine is detuned like hell... whats valet mode like?

Yeah my VY acclaim seemed faster when I put my foot down than in the B4... so we'll see if someone at the meet can tell me anything... I even have a TBE, but I guess it doesn't do that much for the car without a tune... kinda tempted to get a cable and start looking into tuning it myself...

Unbled system will be sorted within a day if you have changed coolant, I don't think you have recently?

Could be a weeping hose/clamp that's crapped itself or leaky radiator tank. Keep it simple ;)

I strongly doubt it's a leaking headgasket.
