If you filled it with water, There is a chance it's boiling. Causing the bubbles you are seeing.

I run 70% anti freeze and 30% water in my cars.

Zero boils.

Yeah my VY acclaim seemed faster when I put my foot down than in the B4...

Valet mode is just a startup countdown - doesn't do anything to the engine management. It wont be as immediate as your commodore (no lag), but top end power is higher. If you aren't feeling the power when it jumps on boost then something is definetly wrong. Has it got a boost gauge? Might want to make a thread on here about it, the GT is for funny business and socialising

Ive been putting off changing the coolant. Which would be water by now. Should pull my finger out.
