So, I parted with the R34. It was a great car, in great condition, but it just didn't suit what I needed in a car any longer. Requirements change, and as such, the car sold, and I was looking for a wagon again. So I bought a 2002 Nissan Stagea Axis Autech model. This is the "Spec B" of Stageas, so to speak. It came with better then factory suspension, an aero kit designed by Autech, and a whole heap of other small bits and pieces I won't bore you with.
There is a few things I would like to do, but I am in no rush to do so. Basically,
- Lower it. No coilovers. Just lowered springs. I am enjoying the ride comfort.
- Turbo back exhaust. The Stageas suffer from an extremely restrictive factory design which actually can cause premature turbo failure, so this is something that I will definitely look at doing in the near future.
- Shift kit for the auto. There is a company in Sydney that does a "Stage 2" kit for $500 fitted, that, accoridng to reviews, makes the car completely different to drive. Many more response!
- Aftermarket stereo. The factory radio goes from 77.2mhz to 90mhz, basically rendering it unusable in Australia. And yesterday, the in dash 6 CD stacker shit itself, so this is fairly up there on the priority list. Something with iPod, Bluetooth, GPS, etc etc. The factory stereo facia is incorporative of all aircon controls, which makes fitting an aftermarket one a difficult excercise, but luckily, the M35 Stagea shares the same platform as V35 Skylines, and 350Z, so a 350Z facia fits, as well as all aircon controls.
Anyways, without further adue, here is some pics.

But seriously, here it is.

Cheers,
Shaz
