@Harry, What's a tough phone?

Off the top I my head I can think of the Xperia Go but having said that most tough phone are kinda crap as a phone.

I would still get a good phone. But get an Otterbox Armor or Defender case for it. Best thing going. Just make sure you buy the Otterbox from a good phone store of from them directly. Have seen a few knock off versions of their cases.

Alex, the motorsport kit is what you need. Has the suction cap.

I assume Aek's kits have them but if not, you can buy the sticky mounts separately. The sticky surface has a concave to adapt to your helmet and it's amazingly strong.

I initially stuck it on with the visor shut and when I put it up, it fouled on the mount. D3rp. Left it in the car on a hot day and I was able to remove it and relocate further back on the helmet but there is still sticky stuff left behind!

Have also used the suction cap on hard paniers but depending on how shaky or non-existent your paniers are, this may not work. Dads GTR1400 has heaps of flat surfaces though so there's heaps of choice.

AMS. Hero 3 has no motor sport kit. You will get one flat and one curved sticky mount.

But a hero 3 suction cap. They are awesome. And have 2 configurations!
