Nah, It's just clear plastic. About 40cm's long and has subaru written on it.

It would be useless in a real "I need a shovel" situation.

I think it's part of some hazard kit, I recall a few strange things in my boot. First aid kit, Puncture repair kit, Rope and a cloth.

All with subaru written on them, So weird.

My current and incomplete aquarium set up. Not bad so far but still a few things I need to get before introducing some cichlids. I only had one light on as you can see by the top of the water line to promote good bacteria growth.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Try now man. Should load up again.

Not a bad set up man, looks really nice. The small fish tank I had before this had the exact same substrate. You seem to have gone for the more centre feature, allowing the fish to make use of the space around the centrepiece. Mine has a 3D background and I still have no idea how I'm gonna decorate it all... Might make it suit the scene so to speak and scatter it around the place.

Still wont load for me! Gay.

I got given that whole setup. The only thing I've added are live plants. Only one survived the fish eating it though... It grew surprisingly well and I've been able to make 2 plants out if it!!

I have some sandstone pieces outside that I'm hoping to carve into some nice ornamental pieces and get some plants growing in them.

I'm not a huge fan of fake stuff in tanks :)

Also. The green rocks have gotta go! Hahaha

Nice. Yeah I'm a real fan of having live plants but they'll all get eaten way too quickly to be able to regenerate itself. I assume that's the big leafed one in the background and foreground? My parents have suggested adding sandstone into the tank to give it a nice natural effect; we'll see how we go. I try and keep as much live stuff as possible, without going over-the-top of course. At least with this aquarium.

You will like my substrate I think... I just gotta get a closer and clearer pic.

Here is the pic again:

Since we're sharing tanks with plants and fishies.... what I did with my Val plants. My turtles kept digging up and eating the roots. This seems to work much better, they have lasted a couple of months so far, which is a record for my tank. They eat them so much.

EDIT:

These blokes.

Nice tank man. I just took a pic of my substrate which looks similar to yours, without the black. Turtle seems to be having a ball in there, ha ha!

What about now?

And here is a pic of my chosen substrate:

My substrate is calcium grit, which is crushed limestone. It's used for chicken feed and can be bought for like $10/20kg at an animal feed supplier. Basically it helps keep the water buffered (alkaline) and the turtles can eat it and get calcium from it for their health. You can't have stones in a turtle tank, has to be sand or fine grit. I think you can use it for cichlid and marine tanks too. Yours kinda looks similar but with a bit of fine sand through it.

And yeah he sleeps in that giant plant I made, the other sleeps on the bark platform (just out of picture).
