Haha, another reason to Oontz. Asked a bloke why he had such sweet digs;

 

The building has crazy turnover because it isn't rent stabilized, and it's obviously very expensive to begin with. The apartment next door sat vacant for a while, and then a single dude moved in. He was there for about a week, when one night there was a bunch of commotion. Crashing, knocking shit around, all that. Some of this woman's pictures fell off the wall, so she called the front desk and had them send someone up to make sure everything was okay. They probably never sent anyone for reasons that will become apparent. 

Fast forward about a week. There's a horrible smell. She goes next door to see what the deal might be. When she knocks, the door swings open because it wasn't latched. She calls the front desk again to complain. When the smell came up, apparently the doorman was like: "oh fuck no. I've found three already. I can't do four." 

If you assumed "found" means found dead people, then you're right. If you went further and assumed that it means he found people that had been beaten to death by gay escorts, you're even more correct. Well, maybe not across the board, but that's what happened to this guy. He had called an escort/picked up a sex worker one night who proceeded to beat the shit out of him and rob him. Next morning, this guy had stumbled out of the building to the CVS across the street covered in blood, and told the doorman to fuck off when he asked if he needed help. Presumably he bought a tube of Neosporin and a bottle of aspirin, and figured that would be better than the hospital. Then he went back upstairs to curl up and die. 

Point being, in New York City you have disclose deaths/murders that have occurred in an apartment for five years after the fact. Knowing that no one would be interested in paying for the unit (that phrase probably also explains the motive behind the murder), the building manager's friend now lives there rent free. 

Moral of the story is look for apartments where people have died. Even 500 dollar ones in Fall River.

walked out of work yesterday arvo to see a pallet sticking into my front bar, still sitting there. so looks like one of the forklift operators has been a careless prick and pushed it into the front bar and hasnt told anyone about it. 

now im up for another trip to the panel beaters. not fucking happy. work will be paying for this one.
