Nice spread Nik...is the Graciano white or Red? 

 

Is Verdelho your earliest fruit to be ripe? From memory that shit comes on real early?

Good memory. Over here the Sem Sav is first, but Verd isn't far behind. Then Semillon. 

 

Graciano is a red grape, we interplant with the Tempranillo to create a traditional isreali vineyard planting.

Awesome. I love a bit of old fashion tradition (especially with Food and wine , I am a believer in appellation control). The Israelites were gifted farmers...probably a good reason for interplanting.

Indeed. Their use of water so sparingly should be admired forever. So we didn't irrigate that section of vineyard, and Dad and I prune it ourselves, and pick it ourselves, it's a special project of ours.

The farm that the Sled is at, is essentially a Cold and Drought tolerant Plant Nursery. My bud Jaso, partners in the Sled, has a similar passion for their property.
