Yeah it isn't too bad AMSy...

Thing I'm wondering for myself is if it is worth it... like I'll still need the car... no choice there... the bike will just be a for fun thing... and I'd only go riding on my own... not to work or anything, just ride for the fun of it... but I don't have enough free time myself to even play with the car enough... so when will I ride the bike...

And if it is a "just for fun" thing... then it is almost $600 per year in rego and CTP, just for fun...

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

AMSy.... what costs can you expect, yearly, with a bike?

I know about rego + CPT ~ 600?

What else, other than fuel, which depends on how much you drive...

Just a one off cost of your gear. Helmet, jacket, gloves, some decent shoes/boots if you don't already have some.

Fuel is bugger all, not really any other associated costs unless you bin it and scratch it up a bit.

Tires should be good for 25-30,000k's...servicing costs are cheap - if you buy a 2nd hand bike just do it yourself for bugger all.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I'm waiting until after March next year to get my rider L's.

If I get them now, I'll have 3 years of P's.

If I get them after the 24th March, I'll have one year!

So start taking one or two here and there.

I've never taken a 'sickie' in my life!
