Pretty sure we mentioned the VTR's a few pages back...but cool, they are good bikes.
Yeah dude, I'm sure it was mentioned... I just started looking into them now... but quite $$$ for even an older model...
Oh well, will keep looking...

So... been checking out bikes... most of them are around the 3.5-5k mark...
I was looking for something around the 3k mark... so not fun...
Is there a big downside to getting something like a 250cc, small and simple, maybe even an old CBR250rr to play with in my first year on L's and upgrade later on when I feel like it?

I just find any 250cc dull to be honest. Flooring the shit out of it just to get anywhere isn't my cup of tea. A 500cc would be my minimum.

Best of luck on the bike Zac. The GS500F is a MUCH better selection. ![]()

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Same Simo.... apparently people who get off restrictions don't even want to sell them and upgrade.. they are that good.. and right on the edge of power to weight LAMs limit...

There's no way I could have as much fun as I have had so far on a postie though! I guess it's all relevant to where you live aswell!when its to a learner bike buy a postie for $1000-$1500. ride it for a year get your fulls sell it for the price you bought it for then buy a decent bike
That's a nice vtr too!

Well I'm about to get back on a bike after 10 years. Will be doing an advanced riders course in Feb, to relearn the things I have forgotten.
Been looking for anther Ducati. Looking for a Monster this time as I want a naked. But fark me there are some dodgy ones out there. Looked at and "Australian" delivered bike that had a MPH spedo on it. But its OK because the seller told me they are genuine miles. I quickly walked away. ![]()
