I like them, but I sat on one and the airbox makes it very uncomfortable on the RHS of the bike.

I'm surprised I didn't see this thread earlier.
I got my license in November last year and picked up a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250r Special Edition in the beginning of December.
I got it rather cheap because the previous owner slide it and I know it's only cosmetic damage which means if I drop it or slide it I wont really care as much as if I bought a new bike.
I'm already out growing it unfortunately but that doesn't mean I'm going to go out and buy a bigger bike while I'm on my RE license, no I'm going to save money for when I can get my R license in November.
I'm looking into a few bikes when I get my R license though which are.
Triumph Daytona 675
Triumph Street Triple
Honda CBR/CB 650F
Suzuki GSX-R 600
Can't wait really.

Go the Streety (or Daytona)...you'll never look back.
Bit more expensive but so much better built...plus you're not riding a "falcodore" by getting a gsx or cbr. Not that they are bad bikes.....

Haha Yeah I plan to test ride the Street and Daytona when I can.
I've always liked the Daytona but I'm unsure of what the seating position is gonna be like and weather my back can take it, If it can I'll probably want that more than the others.
As for the Street, at first I never liked the headlights since it looks like it's missing fairings but it's started to grow on me so if It's more comfortable and nicer then I'll probably get that.
I want to lean away from the common Jap bikes and be different.
Plus just hearing the Triumph triple noise sends shivers down my spine.
