Pete - bunnings sells the old railways sleepers that were ripped up to be replaced by concrete ones, the type of wood would probably depend on what part of the state they were from but they are all hardwood, some of it over 100 years old and still going strong... amazing how well it can hold up.

I wouldn't say it is extraordinary but it rides ok, certainly good enough for me anyways, the BC's are probably a fair bit better but I dunno, more money than I am willing to spend on it right nowJosh's car rides pretty forking nice though.
