This is probably stating the obvious, but you need bulk speed to do well in this pipe. Those walls are fucking massive. I dont really get why more arent dropping a trick in order to maintain momentum.

Went for a surf after work this arvo. Waves were slightly better than shit. Which is good for Perth waves. Still enjoyed being in the the water though. Best bit was having a load of eagle rays cruising the bottom right below me.

Sig worthy.

I don't know enough about it to make an educated comment, but I will make a stupid one anyways and say that it does seem like they should do what you are suggesting and try and get through the thing with a bit more pace.... so many seem to be doing a few tricks then either face planting or just losing all their speed in the middle of the pipe then not getting to do fark all else.

Maybe they have reason.. I dunno :)
