Simon;

First thing, I'd install the Uber app if you want to travel anywhere in style without the hassle of ordering a limo/PT car//

Experience bars around Docklands;

http://www.alumbra.com.au/ - Good cocktails, not 'super fancy', but it's been there ten years or more so you know they are doing something correct.

http://www.bobs-stea...op.com.au/bbar/ Bob's is a cool lunch spot w/ bar

Honestly, around Docklands/New Quay, you can just wobble around there are so many cafe bars - but not many dedicated bars.

Remind me what kind of beer you drink?

Have you been to Melbourne much in the past?

Are you planning a swanky 'special' night for the anniversary?

http://www.thealehou..._the_globe.html ; The Alehouse Project in Brunswick is a must - awesome tucker there as well

http://thelocal.com.au/ ; This is where Ash picked me up from when I was over there. Kind of hipsterish with the old furniture and bocci game in the middle of the downstairs room; but the interesting beers factor is very, very high.

Also Slow Beer in Richmond is awesome, it's like a really well stocked craft beer bottle shop, but you can sit down and drink it while you're there. I like going and having a couple of interesting beers with a platter, then buying a little selection to take back to the room. I usually make this a day 1 stop.

Looking for a website.

:)

Now I want to go to Melbourne.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Ive never been to Melbourne before, but the wife has a few times.

Beers - I enjoy a good beer. Crafty types. I think the missus has organised a trip to Mountain goat.

I'm not really planning anything special, But was kinda hoping to swing it. Go out see where the night takes us.

Thanks for the tips bud.

Mountain Goat is awesome, I'm sure she's checked, but just so you know it's only open Wednesday and Friday - Wednesday is the best because they do free brewery tours.

MG is ALWAYS booming with people, so if it gets a bit hectic, walk just a few doors down the street to the Royston (http://www.roystonhotel.com.au/) and enjoy some WA beers.

:D
