But seriously,
(4.5)/(100 +x) = 0.025
x= 80

Whoops. (4.5*X)*0.025=1.69
9x/2 * 1/40 = 1.69
9x/80 = 1.69
9x = 1.69/80
9x = 0.021125
x = 0.0023472222222222

Haha, yeah mine was never going to be right, I just googled it and pasted something from some vegetation forum that were trying to calculate ratios for watering.

nope. x=15.022222222222222
(4.5*X)*0.025=1.69
(4.5*X)=1.69/0.025
(4.5*X)=67.6
X=67.6/4.5
X=15.022
You are correct sir. I accidentally divided 1.69 by 80 instead of multiplying. Lol!

Okay. I think I'm in over my head.
I need the x to be an answer when I change the variable of 0.025

Wait, so does that mean you have 2 variables, x and the 0.025, which is in essence y?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
Posted 10 April 2014 - 11:49 AM
So Adam, can the 0.025 change or is that a constant?
If the 0.025 could be different numbers sometimes, then it is pretty much y
which means your formula for x could be simplified to
x = 0.375/y
and when y = 0.025, then x is 15.02
