I will work any public holidays because of the money, but that is not my point.

To add to that, in the past when the shops have opened on Anzac day, they have opened from 1pm until 5pm, even on days where late night trading is applicable. This year, open from 1pm until 9pm. I voiced my opinion, got no where, might call in sick.

His point is, why are we closing on religious holidays that are not reflective of our multicultural demeanour on the global stage, yet we stopped recognising the most important days that this country has in it's short, short history as if they are not important. The culture we have now is built on the country, not on religion.

 

By the way, we're closed on Good Friday..................................................... not allowed to open.
