got to my room, its in a big caravan park and its like a portable room, small bed, small room, its pretty much an oversized port-a-loo.

But I'm not paying for it, my hourly rate has gone up $11hr from the other company i was with and i'll be doing 12hr days instead of 10 apparently. Hopefully my bank account shouldn't look pretty good in a few weeks

Fair enough argument and I agree on having ANZAC day as a holiday throughout, even in retail. Although not everyone is atheist/follows another religion.

Aside from you earning more money to work on the day, if it had such a big effect on you you'd take the day off would you not? Considering you get paid for it already.
