Fair enough argument and I agree on having ANZAC day as a holiday throughout, even in retail. Although not everyone is atheist/follows another religion.

I wasn't making a joke at Adam's expense, dude was surprised how cheap his weekend turned out to be. Especially if you don't drink much, that's really the only extra money.

What are you guys trying to say then? You compared ANZAC day with religious days. And it is in a way. Ramadan may not be a public holiday so to speak, but everywhere sells Halal meat. What if I don't want my Big Mac from Macca's Halal? Do you think they'll give me a non-Halal paddy?

 

I don't think Christians came to Australia enforcing those days to be public holidays.

Probably one of the best weekends I had all year. And i camped in the snow on my birthday weekend last year (bucket list shit right there)

On another note, Divergent was a pretty cool movie. Both Jess and I enjoyed it. I do recommend it if you're a fan of The Hunger Games and the like. Not that I've read it, but many people claim that the book is better (obviously).
