What mountains have you hit?

 

I started skiing when I was 11, that was 1983, there might have been a dozen snowboards in Australia back then, and I'm being generous.

 

None of my mates were into the snow, so I only starting Boarding after family trips had stopped. I love it, but traversing just kills me these days and so much time in/out of your bindings that it spoils my day. Might be different on real mountains, but in oz, we have to make do with what we have.

 

I've skied Falls Creek and all the NSW resorts, as well as the Remarkables and Coronet peak in Queenstown NZ and a brief run top to bottom at Nagano in Japan.

@Josh, I would love to Ski?board Japan properly and have free accomodation in Nagano, so will go again when I can afford to. The snow there is just the next level. We are talking 10-20 metres base, depending if its a good year or a great year. The snow is bone dry (champagne powder) and is ranked amongst the best on the planet.

I reckon Queenstown and the surrounding ski field win for atmosphere, but it's a genuine drive to the ski fields each day (fucking sketchy roads too cuzy bruv) and there are NO on mountain options at all, even if you were cashed up and dangerous.

QT in 2001 and 2004. I was working in flashy restaurants back then, and loved my top end eats and wine. That place just works so well...apart from all the driving.
