Ok, so if you're looking at SH Forester, you'd be silly not to hold out for Premium, the cloth model sans sunroof is crap.

But I'd rate Gen 4 Spec B interior over the SH interior, unfortunately Subaru get cheaper and cheaper with their interiors as the years progress. Even your old Gen 3 RX Dash is luxurious compared to my plastic abomination.

Looks like you're going Spec B anyway, which is a wise choice. Good luck.

Hi,

@Nick: Mate all the usual turbo related stuff.

Roswell, a Premium SH is a lemon flavoured mongrel compared to a Spec.B.

Not even in the same carpark.

Cheers,

Nik

Never heard of turbo issues with the H6.

Haha. As childish as it sounds I would like the boxer rumble and I haven't owned a turbo yet, so I guess it would be a good first turbo car.
I almost bought a H6.. maybe for my next car I will join the club.

In that case, I have nothing further to add.

Yeah, that's what I said...chump.

On an interior level, Gen 4 Premium > Anything newer. Whilst a sunroof is a sunroof and leather is leather, there is an unmistakable feeling in newer models of USDM and mass production.

I hope to see this Spec B.

I would definitely buy it. It looks very clean, but I'm just not a fan of the cream interior.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Not bad but not too keen on the interior :(

That black one I linked above just sold before I got there :( I'm so forking devo. I keep putting things off to look at cars and they sell on me. Sigh.

Not bad. I'd go check it out man. Roselands is literally a 5-10 minute drive for me, ha ha. Ask if that last service in August was a major one too. Hopefully it's a good owner from that area.

Hi,

They are not to be fettled with though, Nick. Unless you want to spend big boy $'s. I am happy with the power from my car, but it's hardly a world beater. 80-110 is faster than the GT variant - and that's where I spend my days.

Cheers,

Nik

I know matts (cliffo) h6 wagon runs 100mph down the quarter with a tune and e85. I think stock GT's are a touch slower.

The big service isn't due until 125k for anything post MY07ish.

H6's aren't as fast but they've got such smooth, linear power delivery. Very enjoyable driving.

If you're looking for that massive gut punch of power, go turbo ;)

I know the guy who owns that! He's owned it for about a year and he paid $18500 for it. It was on carsales for about 6 months untill he bought it, so I'm suspecting its a lemon

Seemed like it was a bit cheap for a relitively low km spec B
