Is the wagon P-Plate legal under new laws?

Cool if it is.

Personally I'd go the STi quad tips Nick, I have them on my Foz, but most Foz owners who put the 08 STi Quad tips on their XTs love them for their subtleness. Not sure how similar the 08 STi ones I have are to the Liberty ones but should be similar results.

Is it easy to load the STI tune?

Just need the tune and a Tactrix to load it.

There is heaps of info over at .asn on how to load tunes.

Spec.B sedans and wagons are legal.
Its the STI sedans that are illegal. You can drive STI wagons but I just never saw one for sale :(

Haha yeah I have heard. No RSK front bar anymore I think the lip got smashed.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Is it easy to load the STI tune? I want an exhaust but I do not want to attract too much attention from the cops. I lost my license for a while and had to restart my green p's (that's why I am still on them).

Cheers
Nick

it takes around 5min, that's including doing a backup of your old tune. I can do it for you if you come down to the gong at anytime.

Oh sorry for my misinformation. I thought this was a GT SpecB. :P

Sucks posting on my phone. Takes so much more effort and time reading prior and original posts.

I'm confused.

Is Gaz getting his tune changed from H6 to GT-B, or has Nik bought a 30R-B that is being tuned the same as a H6? Or has Nik sold his 30R-B and has bought a GT-B like Gaz? Or are Gaz and Nik both getting a GT-B with a H6 tune? Or does Gaz now have a 30RGT-B?

As far as i can tell, Nik's car looks like a 30R-B except for the GT-B bonnet and Gaz's looks like a GT-B except for the 30R bonnet.

Get Matt McLeod (Kido Racing) to tune it. He just finished up mine and I couldn't be happier with it.

Geez, what a fork up. I was always under the impression that the GT SpecB sedan wasn't P-plater legal, but the wagons were. That's pretty much the point I was trying to make here.

I'd go with Matt for a tune as well man. I'm currently trying out a demo tune and I'm really impressed. The mini HVC meet was its first real test and it met all expectations.

Matt's tunes are great, and well worth it.

Maybe try out alexGT's tune, and then something from Matt, so you'd have something to compare.

Ahhh ok, so it is just the STI tune, not specific or anything, which would be good.

It is just an STI branded factory tune then. Haha, I can see why Garrrrrry wanted it

I'm in the process of testing two tunes so I just thought why not a third? :P

Another thing to bear in mind Nick, make sure you have your exhaust (as well as any other engine modifications) installed before getting the tune done. That way you can maximise on it all. If you go ahead with Matt (KiDo tuning) then you'll be happy to hear that he does free retunes for whenever you do install or remove something.

As far as Matt knows his stuff and does a good tune, if your remote to him, when there is an issue it can take a while to get it sorted and then you have to have access to a Tactrix and software.

I had an issue with my GT after Matt tuned it that made it dangerous to drive. It took about a week to get Matt to respond and even then I had to get a third party to download a revised tune.

With the GTB, if I get it tuned it will be done locally with instant local support if required.
