Finally got my bilsteins, picked them up Friday. And installed them saturday arvo. Wasn't a bad job, but the back lower shock bolts, just wow. Even prying a long breaker bar was not enough. Ended up with a hydrologic jack under a ring spanner.
Love the suspension, good hight and feels good. Only 2 problems, the back squeaks, and the alignment is out at the back. -1.4 deg camber and 4 mm toe. What is the best way to fix this without doing a full delift.

Should be able to align out the toe. Will need camber bushes in the rear to fix that though.

4mm of toe is after getting a wheel alignment, I would have thought that they would know how to get it out if you could. I hope your right though.

Just found the bushing for camber, Whiteline KCA399. Will i need a press to get the old bushings out, don't want to have to do it at work.

Bilsteins look good! Were they sedan or wagons struts? Hows the handling?

Could always go adjuatable control arms in the rear? Not cheap..but will give you all the toe and camber adjustment you want

Thanks :) wagon struts but the back did drop a bit more. Handles a little better. just a bit firmer and flatter, it was already surprisingly good with the rear sway bar and good tyres.

I would love them but I am avoiding spending to much as its not like the car is that special and it wont add any value.

All good...but if they cant get the toe out of it with the toe bolts then you dont have many other options?

The toe should be zero on the front & back.

I'm hoping the wheel alignment person just wasn't very good (bobjane). I have ordered camber bushings and will get another alignment somewhere else. if the toe is still 4mm ill probably just live with it.

The toe should be zero on the front & back.

The front was perfect even before the wheel alignment. Think I did well aligning it by eye haha. Just the back being a bit of an issue.

I installed Whiteline camber bushings and just got an alignment. Watched them a little though the window and it looked like they were having some trouble. After an hour someone came up and said that it was done but one of the adjustment bolts was worn and they couldn't get it perfect. I ask for a result printout and head of. Read it at home and it looks like they only did one side, also the marks on The adjusting bolts say the same thing. I think they got sick of the car and just hoped I would not notice and not ask for a printout. Also it was closing time when they gave the back as if they just wanted to get out and didn't care. Disappointed as the last alignment I got somewhere else was also bad, they didn't even say anything about it, sprayed scrappy tyre shine over my wheels and on the arches and I saw I had a blown globe when it was there but they didn't tell me. Quite unprofessional. Will be going back and complaining.

For a good shop I recommend tyre power in north Melbourne. Can be a bit more expensive but the guys there know what they're doing

Sucks to hear! I had the same trouble a couple of years ago. Went to this ace right near uni, maybe they thought I was a uni kid who didn't know shlt, but when they told me a bolt was seized I knew something was up.. Took the car home and could tell straight away that they hadn't even put a spanner on it, the dirt was untouched! Plus I checked and could easily undo them.
Couple of decent arguments later, got a full refund...

Then there was the other time pedders forgot to do up a front camber bolt, left it completely loose!

Time for an update. Turned out embarrassingly the stock toe adjustment bolt/washer was actually stuffed. Took a long time to get a replacement as the wrong part was ordered originally by the dealership was wrong so I only just changed got it changed today. no alignment yet but it is rolling straight now  :yahoo:  .

Finally decided to get an exhaust so I got a diff back made up last week and I love it. More of a boxer rumble then i was expecting, very little drone and some popping on deceleration. video doesn't do it a lot of justice.

Wooohooooo

Yep I'm loving it. Also just got my disc machines and put my spec b wheels back on after using the stock wheels to save my good tyres because of the bad alignment, the tyres on the stock wheels are that bad they feel unsafe. Had bit of a sketchy moment with them the other day while driving very calmly.
No more brake woble+wheel alignment+exhaust+good tyres, it feels so much better now
