I'm hoping so

Will see how I go on the stock fuel pump and injectors, but that will be on the list for the distant future after the engine dress up and exterior fun... it's never ending

My vehicle will be very different next HVC ;)

Nice list of mods :)

I wouldnt tempt fate and run the stock pump if i were in your position....i feel its good insurance when throwing more power at a car

I'll speak to the Mr throttle happy and see what he recommends

The idea was thrown around to do the pump but I kinda put it aside as a future upgrade

God PSR are hard to deal with haha...

Got a fuel pump and filter from jack at Kobemotorsport
Got everything except the headers sitting in the shed ready to go, they sent me the equal length ones by mistake
And still waiting on the heat wrap aswell for the headers
Also will probably wrap the downpipe down to the cat (don't want to go all the way down or the wrap will be getting wet all the time under the car

Organised a dyno tune with Matt at the end of august

Way too keen for this
Anyone who's done these mods before have any tips or tricks to help me out?

And empire had 3 goes at sending me the right headers
Smh, glad I prepared this month's before I'm actually doing the work haha

If I ever go with pSr again I'll go in store haha

Got some work done this weekend
Started with the HD sway bar links and mounts for the rear, also stiffened up bar
4bc6b08fee375f23880bb3ef538f6c0e.jpg

And saturday I finally installed the STI springs that I've been waiting for!
cf877a062c93d419736bf76721f50e24.jpg925304e6a63a3957597642d1065dd924.jpgb965948e2d9d76ff5fc5c02a62426fcc.jpge946114b912d7ddea981e740260d7420.jpg

So ridiculously happy with how they perform!
I'll be honest I only bought them to lower the car, but had no idea they'd have that big of an impact on the responsiveness of the car, especially the rear end (links and mounts weren't much on their own but when the springs went in it was just on a whole other level)
Plus it sits low enough to look smick, but not so low that it scrubs out or scrapes on anything

Next step will be tyres... but at the moment it looks like I'll be waiting till mid august for some potenza s001's to come into stock, literally the whole of Australia is out of stock

And then finally the anti-lift kit
Then I'll get a good alignment and she'll be ready for the performance mods!

Great to hear you are liking the STi pinks. I'll be getting mine in as soon as I've installed my Whiteline bushes. ;)

Looks like I grabbed my set of new S001s just in time then.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

What bushes are you getting?
And how are your tyres going? They're the rarest tyres in australia at the moment hahaha

Three sets; front control arm lower inner rear bushing (KCA334), rear control arm upper inner bushing (W63396) and rear control arm upper outer bushing (KCA399).

Pretty sure they're the right part numbers. :P

As far as the tyres are concerned, I couldn't be happier. Much better than what I had previously and managed to grab them at a bargain price from someone who worked for Kmart Tyre & Auto Service on club.liberty. I killed two birds with one stone and put them on my newly refurbished STi rims too.

So I'll have that all done this weekend hopefully

I'll be getting the bushes done, then I'm gonna replace my struts on my own before getting a wheel alignment done at Heasmans.

Good work. They seem to be in such high demand. Especially in the Subaru size/s.

About time I updated this

just had a MASSIVE week, fitting the new headers and turbo, and then driving to coffs to get it all tuned

Everything layed out ready to go on
Attached File  uploadfromtaptalk1440831114959.jpg   5.02MB   9 downloads87775c5d5cb0b0faf7447c8b0bc06809.jpg

Headers
e39d1fe3b1fcc6e095f20a22ef2c0425.jpg

Everything went smoothly and I had it all bolted up, started it, all sweet, went for a drive, all good
Got home and notice a little puddle of oil on the floor... cue heart attack

ba4340125af9f5a8d70899b2c55494f9.jpg

after taking everything apart again... and lots of stress
it was the oil return gasket
dad9e6544afed7ff39692e5d057ef563.jpg

So I made sure to get it done properly, got a new hose, clips, new banjo bolt washers, and cleaned up the old gasket and used some gasket sealant to make sure of it

Put everything back together again and checked over and over and over again for any leaks at all...
Not and single drop

Finito

spent friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday (gave up at about 4 Sunday arvo after the leak and decided to fix it on Monday) then all day Monday doing this little project

Literally as soon as it was done, packed my bags and off to nelson bay to pick up the Mrs on the way to coffs harbour
don't think I've ever driven so slowly in my life, taking care not to go over 3000rpm haha

Finally got some rest and relaxation

Skip ahead to Thursday
Tune day
So much nerves and excitement

Matt as usual answered all my questions, made sure we both knew what we wanted to achieve

loaded her onto the dyno and Matt worked his magic

7b2c2e18a2a1a12ffb3c5bf186fcb88d.jpg

So thrilled with the end result, Matt was happy with how the engine sounded, no knocks whatsoever (phew)
Went for a good run around coffs so matt could do a few little tweaks on the road
Happy with how everything went, and absolutely blown away by the added power

End result on the dyno
05335bdcfa1ebabe1b3f0f82cfa421d6.jpg

19 psi
Peak power is from about 4000rpm
Boost hits 16 psi just before 3000rpm, Matt said that the headers pretty much brought the spool rate to the same as the VF46 if not a little quicker
So that's perfect, exactly what I'd hoped to achieve

The difference is f'n AMAZING where the VF46 previously got to a point lower in the Rev range and just ran out of puff
The vf52 just keeps pulling all the way the 5500 with the flat foot shift limiter
Feels very VERY nice

Could not be happier with how it's all turned out

I'd like to give a HUUUGE thank you, firstly to Mr Matt Mcleod, for everything

Another shout out to Cameron for pretty much guiding me through the install

Most importantly my girlfriend, for putting up with my cranky attitude, and pushing me on when I thought I was about to lose all hope

And everybody else who helped me in whatever way with their knowledge on the forums and on the Facebook page

You guys are the best!

Now to enjoy driving this absolute beast!
And maybe start working on some exterior modifications so I can look the part aswell :D

Nice work mate, excellent build up. Such a great sense of achievement in the end and that it was all worthwhile.

I wish I had gone as far with my Gen4 GTB but I gave up, mostly because it was a yucky sedan!

So proud of myself for making it happen, definitely have that sense of achievement

Oh yea, wagons ftw haha
Basically the only reason I bought a wagon was I'd just recently started playing ice hockey and I wanted something to conveniently carry all the gear...
Best decision I ever made haha

Nice work mate. Exact upgrades I've planned for. Is the red line S# and blue line S?

So, my engine went boom...

Not really but it's cooked, most likely a big end bearing

engines being pulled apart as we speak to assess the damage, the end result will be a more than likely a full rebuild with cosworth pistons and rods... and whatever else needs to be changed
And a new tune

Hopefully the car will now be reliable and free from engine trouble for at least as long as I own it
