So this just happened...

redcar.jpg

Will put up some more info/photos in the next few days after I clean it out go over a few things.

The plan for this one is to drive as a daily while I sort everything out to swap my go-fast bits into it.

Got it for an absolute bargain after offering a lowball that I was a bit ashamed of offering in the first place.

Nice one Reevesy! I've been trying to get SWMBO approval for a Gen3 wagon to do exactly the same thing.

Nice one!

Not worth putting a standard engine in the legacy?
Or is it too far gone now.

Probably would be but I cant be bothered, would have to buy a wrecked to swap harnesses, donor motor etc, and dont have the room to do it.

That red goes so well with gloss black finishes. Hope to see some progress with this wagon.

So over the weekend and during the last week, I have installed a set of Cusco zero-2 coilovers, a silver turbo bonnet (Thanks Matt), 17x7 ray cerumos, GC8 Wrx seats and my stereo.

Coilovers were an easy install until I got to the rear left, the nut would not move and couldn't get the right leverage on it so out came the grinder and a spare bolt to replace it :D

Going to order some new bushes once I find out where the occasional clunk I am hearing from time to time, thinking it is the front control arm bushes. I believe these are fairly common to flog out on gen 3's?

And thinking about wrapping the bonnet black until I figure out what I am doing paint wise, as Luke said the silver on red does look a bit ghetto.

Pics tomorrow when I have light
