It's an auto.

I would burn my car if it broke down like that.

But seriously checked my fluids randomly the other day and they were all surprisingly fine, weird as I'm due for a 5k service.

Fark how good is Archer.

Automatic Jase.

No need to budget for a clutch then. (engine normally comes out for head gaskets)

Just a guy that misses his gen2 gtb wagon, and maybe wants to swap for his '04 GT wagon

Oh not another Gary thread! :P

Sucks though. I know how you feel. Dickwad mechanic who worked on the evo about 5 months ago didn't put in a cam seal properly. It's leaked all over the timing belt and it's swollen.

So up for a timing belt already...

Workshop won't cover it as they only offer 3 month warranty.

On another note, good time for an TBSTI upgrade for you... huh huh huh! DO IT!

Also, call Hootas Towing, he does lots of work for Ichiban. Should give you a good price.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

No need to budget for a clutch then. (engine normally comes out for head gaskets)

I know how it is. I had the engine out to get over $2,000 worth of work by Ben in April last year which included rocker cover gaskets. I thought it was those that would be the issue this time round. I'll know all in good time. Thanks for the help Jase.

Ha ha, sorry guys. I was waiting for it. :P

I'll decide whether I give it up or not when I know what the damage is (both to the engine and to my wallet). Thanks heaps for the referral to Hootas Towing though. Top stuff man.

Shit go Gaz

Nice. Unfortunately my product key isn't work for my laptop so I've gotta try and sort that out so I can play with it too.

Thought so Gaz,

That sux man.

I had pretty much the same thing happen to my 300ZX on a crazy hot day.

Overheated, engine died, radiator was still good and full, but here was a blockage in one of the hoses so coolant wasn't moving from radiator. Lol!

When the tow truck had the car at an angle, yup, waterfall.

Not fun man, but as Jase said, could be fixed, instead of new car. Unless STi ;)

The only catch is that instead of a couple of grand, there are many more grands involved with a new engine. I have the worst luck lately.

No idea. I've never had to find out. :P

What is exactly wrong with the engine.

Pretty sure it's seized.
