G’day Richo,

Tough trot on the regos and licence issues mate. I’m guessing you opted to in-mod the RS to get it back on the road then re-mod it back to how it was prior to the rego lapse?

The thing I see going for you is that your RS is still running. Six years is a long time and the paint may have faded etc but it’s better than chasing issues and an engine that goes etc while working to a budget. I’m still working on mine and I’m hoping you have yours on the road well before I have mine sorted! It’s ages away from being done.

Yeah kinda just doing the minimum to get it working and fixing/removing anything dodge.. Try to get it complied/pits etc and then chose what to put back. (brembos 100% going back on and the rims), or if they give me a massive list of things they want*, will try to e$timate how much of an ******* it will be to get $orted

 

Looked odd last time i saw it with random stock wheels and no LARGE yellow calipers haha

 

* While WA is slightly less restrictive on what you can / can't have than some other states but, there is normally 0 wiggle room

Random update of some issues issues hold it back from going over pits

 

• Spluttering/coughing after about 5 mins of running. Something in impeding fuel flow going by what Doug said. Sounds like pump (new) is cavitating in told
• Speedo stuck at ~280kph (so no power and gravity did the rest ?)
• Seat belt doesn't always want to click in place

Then the ABS pump pee'd itself when the brembhos were fitted back.

Thats some bloody good news for the rego Richo, not so good about the ABS. What went pop?

Its fixed! had it in my possession for a couple of weeks now. Building a list of things to sort. It'll get there

So anyway, things I need to get sorted. Some of these existed before the car was hard parked.

 

1) Loose weight

1a) Get lowered seat rails. its a bit cramped

2) Move boost controller/gauge cos its location is a bit annoying at times

3) Get it painted

4) There is a bump/thump at ~70kph but far worse at 80+ -- I think either a wheel weight has fallen off or rubber is out of round. Worst case, a CV has bound up

5) fork me its using fuel

6) Get use to it again

7) Alignments ?? Its tracking the road something crazy

8) New springs so its not so lowrider

9) some sort of android car audio play thingy for maps and better audio and (hopefully) GPS speedo

10) Has some electrical issues. Central locking does not always work, windows are sloooooooow, dash cluster has a busted light, dash lighting in general is really low (@RX25SE - were/are you an auto sparky ?? recon some sort of high resistance / corrosion somewhere ?)

11) freaking antenna does not want to go up or down and makes a racket

12) tint is a little iffy in places

13) Drivers seat has a small hole and I think a rodent has had a nibble at something

14) More chooch ?

15) Front bumper copped a hit from someone in a car park. need that fixed.. So either a new bumper or get the painter to "fix" it

 

 

The order of the above is just what entered my mind and not at all reflecting any priority in getting fixed.. cos 4, 7 and 8 will be getting done first!
