Gentleman,

If have finally stumbled across the impossible.

Those of us with JDM models ( or headlights ) on a Rev A-C, will know the struggles of finding something suitable for the parker/corner illumnination globe. They use a dual filament brake globe in place of a T20 wedge or bayonet single filament. The dual filament doubles as the parker and also the corner illuminator, which is exclusive to the JDM models and possible other markets, not ours.

When I bought the car, one side had a normal BAY15D 5/21w Globe fitted, and the other side had what appeared to be the original JDM item BAY15D 5/35w.The JDM item had a white painted top on the globe presumably for better light dispersion in the housing.

Having to use a 5/21w brake globe gives off a terrible brownish light which doesn't match the HID's and just looks awful.

Now. these 5/35w globes cannot be bought off the shelf. Osram, Phillips and Narva don't have a listing for them on their websites. Impossibru!

There are plenty of crap LED ebay alternatives but having tried a few myself, they end up too blue (even when asking for white) and too dim. When the indicator is used, you can barely tell the light output difference, making the whole cornering lamp thing useless.

Here's the good bit. I have finally found something straight outta Japan that will suit it to a tee!

The packet even has a Gen3 on it!

Now here's the bad part. The only supplier on Ebay has 2 left and I just bought them and they were forking expensive $17USDea!!.

At least now we can try find somewhere that sells them cheaper or even get them from Japan.

Jimbo, out.

Wow, nice find Jimbo. I wandered through YJP a little and came close. Not Raybrig but along the right track

I really need to pull mine out to see what they are.

Full chrome outer and the color output is very close to the HID's. Really good side illumination with the indicator on. Came with the head lights from Japan.

Nice one. I bet they're identical to the Raybrig bulb in a different packet! Looks to be, same style blister pack, writing nearly the same.

Here's the same one for $8ea but I can't find the English rakuten page. I've bought stuff from them before - can't remember how

Okay. The seller got back to me and said they accidentally hadn't updated their stock. Thus, only 1 Raybrig globe was available but they had an alternative. This looks again IDENTICAL to the Raybrig item.

I reckon some mob just makes them and then wholesales them to different brands.

We need to find a way to get a whole shit load here. At about $20 each + postage from Murica, it's gonna get pricey!

Edit: Just sent an email to Polarg-Nissei with the hope of perhaps a wholesale opportunity. See where this goes...

Ahh, T20. Didn't know the A-C had bayonet.

I'm keen to do it, but not from where I bought them from.

Have to try hunt down a Japanese supplier to keep the cost down. They were about $20 for a single globe from the seller I bought them off Ebay!
