Genuine stuff in Aus isn't cheap, but I'll do what I can.
Also at least your hose is right now haha.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

So replaced the old cracked radiator today. Pretty simple and straightforward job, I reckon anyone with a 10mm, a 12mm, and a screwdriver could do this pretty easily without much drama.

Everything pulled out

20160107_102535_zpsvhhzxtrt.jpg

High pressure and degrease all the things!

New VS Old

20160107_104608_zpsorrjdppa.jpg

Gave it all a good scrub

20160107_105804_zpswhw2klll.jpg

Old thermostat housing was a bit manky, so cleaned that all up with a wire brush.

20160107_110250_zpsmuqv6ljy.jpg

Full flush for like 10mins.

20160107_111353_zpsf9l59uix.jpg

Crude paintjob on some old bolts because I had none left and couldnt get to the shop, but I'll replace them when I can find a brand new overflow tank anyway.

20160107_112147_zpssrvydhcr.jpg

Old fans degreased, cleaned, checked out, and installed on the new radiator. (Had to line them up proper, of course) That overflow bottle will be replaced as it is crap and old.

New thermostat on the right. Part # for future reference.

20160107_114114_zpsq8mdqrqz.jpg

That subaru cooling system bleeding feeling.

No effect on the temperature gauge? Or was it picked up before that

Nah it never overheated Gaz, I picked it up at the very early stages when it was just a hairline crack in the rad and "oozing" coolant.

Nice one

$12 Techtaloy ftw. I've used it in every car I've owned, perfect.

Yeah, I like to use Pepsi Max now and again.
