So.... all nipple jokes aside. My pristine Foz has been molested over the weekend when I had it in Melbourne. Someone's gone to town on the driver's door lock with a flat head screwdriver destroying the lock and the panel around it. Does anyone have any experience with this? Not really sure who to call - a locksmith, Subaru, panel beater? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

This is the damage to the lock/doors. The lock itself was only $50 from Subaru but have been quoted $800 by two different smash repairers to fix the panel damage

Good stuff! Bought an android head unit and swapped the rest of my stereo stuff from my old car into the Foz. Rockford Fosgate 4ch, Polk audio splits, kenwood sub

The head unit was a bit of a gamble but it seems to be going well so far.

I have a 3" TBE, boost gauge and new knob on the way, only problem is the guy with the knob keeps forking me around

I just dropped some polk splits into my car, they def sound the goods!

Yeah I might look out for a door actually. Well I need two but still.

 

I hadn't heard about that. I bought it off an American site autopumpkin but I have a feeling they all probably come from China anyway. It's pretty good for the money! Everything works except the iPod app keeps crashing but other than that it's sweet. Bluetooth, GPS, DVD etc.

Shit news about your door. That and hail are two things I don't want to ever have to go through...

I know of two instances down here in Melb-town where modified Foresters were targeted for black centre consoles of all things and similar damage was sustained.

Oh wow! My car was bone stock bar the head unit, had only had it for a couple of weeks and did the big trip to Melbourne for a band tour

Interested to see the rims fitted!

Wheels fitted! The rims are in pretty rough condition cosmetically but for $450 I got a cracker of a deal especially considering the almost new Potenza RE050A's wrapped around them. For anyone interested tyre size is 225/45R18 and the rims are facelift 4th gen Liberty Spec B rims.

Needs low now.... :/
