redbook calls bullshit: VY SS auto Kerb Weight (kg): 1609 Power 235kW @ 5200rpm Torque 465Nm @ 4400-4400rpm Acceleration 0-100Km/h (secs) 6.6 03 B4 Manual: Kerb Weight (kg) 1495 Power 190kW @ 6400rpm Torque 320Nm @ 4800-4800rpm Acceleration 0-100Km/h (secs) 6.5 so dispite the extra power, the B4 still seems to be quicker to 100... and weighs more than 100kg less...

mmm yes. 0-100km. B4. 4.11 final drive. SS 3.07 final drive. and its 0.1 of a second. So you tell me genius. Also fair enough, the commo is 100kg heavier... (I'm not saying one is vastly better than the other. I certainly profer my V8, no question. I'd take an SL68 any day of the week though ;) )

I'm saying the B4 is vastly better than a stinkin SS, any SS. the only thing the SS has goin for it is a dry straight line (how boring) and doughies (yay) if its wet forget it- the AWD will flogg the said RWD POS. the B4 handles better looks better is more fun to drive and generally just shits all over the SS. in summing up: SS=pile of shit, B4=f**kin lovely car.

You'd rather drink milk or juice than goon? What does that mean?

I'd hate to burst your bubble, and don't want to start a debate over the virtues of one car over the other, but a well sorted SS would run rings around a B4. It's just as simple as that.

Your comments above, although passionate, are hardly accurate.

It was probably highly inaccurate, but it was humourous I was giving probs for this comment - SS=pile of shit, B4=f**kin lovely car. Now no more this is better than that arguments!!! :)

Sorry... gotta explain
It means I'd rather own a 2.0L subaru than a V8 falcodore anyday is what that means. and on any other than a dry straight rd even a "well sorted SS" will only do rings around itself... as it crashes.

This is an argument no one wins. I have a Lib AND a V8 Holden. I like them BOTH. Cheers J PS A little off topic aren't we???

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I agree with you guys whole heartedly and was by no means entering into a debate about which car is better than the other. They are both great cars in their own right. All I'm trying to say is that it's a bit silly to write off a car without knowing what it's capable of. I know that if I was at a track day and had the choice of a B4 or a VE SSV, or a BF/FG XR6T I know which cars I'd be betting on.
