I dunno,the bonnet didn't even leave the couriers Melbourne depot and I told the wreckers I was having no part in paying for a damaged bonnet,so luckily the wreckers are kinda ok and I'm just getting a replacement

Aek,that's what I was dreading mate,but I was "hopefully" lucky this time

Some mods ive done ;

ENGINE/EXHAUST
-Go Fast Bits Underdrive Pulleys

Did the pulleys do much for you or a waste of time? If its worth it, when the time comes to the conversion id be happy to take the pulleys off ur hands

Btw nice looking car you got there with some tasty mods... Look forward to progress and updates.

They did and they didn't? It was a tiny bit more responsive I think (could have been a placebo effect) if I can find the originals I'll get AMauto to change them over when the engine comes out,and as long as they aren't the same size as for the Sti motor they're yours and thanks for the comments mate matt

Sounds awesome Matt. Cant believe the dramas you've had with that bonnet. At least you dont have to spray the next one!

Any reason why you got the EDFC's? Going to go to alot of track days after the conversion or just like to "fiddle" with stuff?

2002 Outback - it's gone...

Main reason i got it was it was only about $400 for all the bits not $900+ like from fulcrum and yeah I intend to do a few track days and local hill climbs after the conversion,and having the quick adjustability on the fly will be handy around the coast changing between roads with craters to smooth highways etc and I suppose it's something else to fiddle with lol matt

**UPDATE** Alright so I've been informed by Al that my engine will be ready to fit by the 9th of August,so to ensure a bit of lee way I'm booking in for a trip to AMauto on the 16th :) I've got a few new additions lately aswell,including DCCDpro controller with Sti switches PWR 42mm radiator to fit a bugeye Sti Defi bf boost gauge and link controller 2 (cheers mosti) a set of jdm folding mirrors for after the conversion and hopefully my bonnet arrives next week?! Also I'm currently researching what I'll need to install a gc8 quickrack to tighten the steering up a bit ohh and the teins are sooo good :) on the softest setting they are super comfortable on our crappy roads and wind them up a bit stiffer on the smooth stuff and it's an absolute blast more to come very soon Matt

I Received my bonnet today!! :) aside from being white not silver and a few expected repairs (a small dent and a small bent section in which they stood it up on?) all is good,and they threw in a grill aswell Also I am officially now booked in for the conversion on the 16th of August,unfortunantly it's the week Miles is on leave due to his newborn being due,though Al said he loves doing conversions by himself so he's happy lol I'm also booked in on the 9th of August to get all my paintwork fixed up,no more scratches or dents (finally) and I'm also getting getting the holes in my boot welded up and the mud-flaps colour-coded :) Happy Times!!!!

Excellent news Matt! Unfortunate about the hiccups with the final product but it will be worth it in the end. Any chance this is the original bonnet that supposedly got lost somewhere in the middle? You interested in selling the grille too?

Yeah I'm stoked to finally get it,as I was cutting it a bit close

I thought for a moment that there's no way it'd be the same bonnet as the first but after looking over pictures sent of the so called first bonnet and the "new" one sitting in my garage and they are identical dents,scratches and all??!! All they did was put a grille on it lol
I've checked and checked again for creases or any major damage but found nothing :) I think they were screwing me around big time,not happy

And nah I wanna keep the grille for the moment :)
