Hi all,

For those not regulars on the ozlib forum, we're currently trying to get EOI's for a bolt-on intercooler kit for the B4s. Here's a link to the thread on ozlib: http://www.ozliberty...p...d=17042&p=2

As for the supplier, located in NZ. Website as follows for the kit: http://www.scarles.c...aruTTICKIT.html

Mick has installed it on his GTB and is happy with the results thus far. As the core is 600x300x76 which comes with the kit, it may require cutting of the crash bar. As this is not an option for me, i'm opting only for the piping and will source a smaller core to avoid modding the bar.

May not be for everyone but if there are any B4 owners out there interested in the kit; piping + core OR piping only, let us know to see if we can get enough buyers for a Group Buy. Need at least 10+.

Kev.

Will it fit on my Na'z? I'd like an interfooler.

True. Hence, why its not for everyone. Personally (with mine anyways) its prone to severe overheating and pinging so i need to get the issue resolved without having it cost me an arm and leg. If that means losing the foggies, so be it. With HIDs, don't really use em anyways.

Based on feedback or lack thereof, don't think we'll get enough for GB. Thanks anyway boys.

you only lose the foggies cause the B4 for some stupid reason has this massive enclosure around the unit (at the back), it's like a small metal letterbox. If you got the front bar off, I reckon you could easily modify it to be HEAPS smaller, and still have the fogs.. or even better, remove the fogs completely, but leave the glass sealed beam in place so it looks like you still have foggies! I wish I still had my B4, i'd buy this in a heartbeat!

It will keep on blowing off the cooler piping from the power.

All the B4 needs is a tune to get rid of the pinging. No need to get FMIC to remove pinging. Just a new scoop, splitter and WRX TMIC and you will be set.

hahah close enough.. all the Auto B4's averaged 130kw's at the wheels.. where the Euro would be on like 120kw's at the wheels LOL, So i'd still maul an RX Lib.

That's because B4's are too inconsistent with the standard tune. This will help reduce pinging but wont improve the inconsistency much unless you also have a CAI as its very dependent on intake temps also

Anyone have suggestions on places/sites which sell intercoolers? I'm after a 600x250 or smaller core. I've checked PWR, JustJap and a few others but can't source one with a similar dimension.

avo sell them with or without end tanks also so if you want you could get the core and then make the end tanks to suite your aplication.

I'm with Mark. I don't like the look of missing foggies. Makes the car look incomplete.

And most B4 owners would like a stealthy look. Loosing foggies isn't stealth.

Al at amauto uses an evo core.
