I think like anything, VR will have its upsides and downsides. Its going to be dependant on how people use it.

Yeah. Not sure vr can be blamed for people being lazy *****.

But also agree. I can ride my mtb without leaving the couch.

Wonder if they will have vr parties where I can pretend to not have made eye contact with people so I don't have to talk to them.

Haha, but seriously, people will be on VR on the train when going to work.

VR has massive positive implications in my field, but I think we will really need to combat the issue of overuse amongst children, else obesity will multiply.

Yep, developers will only get better and better with time in terms of content that could be screened. Porn is obv a huge market, as is gaming, but marketing potential could be huge, Netflix is already on board, they come with Cinema mode already, hook in connectivity with other people and you've got yourself a virtual cinema. Why go out of the comfort of your own home, when you could just sit on the couch and have the same experience. Even economically, there would be some big impacts if it blows up in interest and companies start taking it on board. 

 

Worth considering buying some shares in VR tech, if you think it will go mainstream.
