This is pretty much just economical VR tech, much like computers and touch screens, it didn't become popular until it became affordable.

Not sure how much it will take off. I mean 3d tvs amd movies didn't. I have watched like 3 on my tv

Yup, its going to be a big IF it takes off. 

 

But in saying that, Facebook bought Oculus, and they didn't buy any 3D shit, and when a company facebooks size buys into a new tech, you'd expect it to become bigger.

I'm not that excited about VR. If someone buys it for me as a gift for my PS4, sure.

 

I craved gaming and new technologies more when I couldn't afford it and wasn't getting any. I'm having trouble finding time to finish Fallout 4 and MGS5 at the moment. Whenever I pick up a game, I feel like I've played it before. Nothing in this generation of gaming excites and immerses me like it used to. The last game to do that was probably GTAV.

 

As someone said earlier, video games and the internet are an easy avenue for those that want to withdraw from the realities of society. I've been there, I'm introverted and never had many friends growing up. I only have a girlfriend because an online avenue (tinder) helped me achieve it. When you think about it (tinfoil hat), its kind of a method of control. You're not causing any trouble for society hiding at home in a virtual reality. My girlfriends brother frustrates me. He is about 29 and has no interest in getting a job. Just plays online in his room all day, relies on his mum to survive.

 

I think the biggest joke of the last few years is curved TV's, they look like warped/sun damaged regular TV's. It's cool that they can do it, but the TV should be flexible, and able to go back to a flat plane if you aren't using it for a curved purpose. 3D only made use of higher refresh rates. I'm only interested in picture quality. My 6 year old 40" LCD/LED TV still looks pretty good in my room. I use it for everything. It cost me about $2k at the time though.

Nice, im gonna play this weekend Level 16 / DZ 15 atm..  Wish you could switch to First person for the gun fights, I love trolling people at the Extraction points and stealing their DZ gear then hiding out in the Subways until my Rogue is gone.  #trolllife
