Been considering doing that, but I don't wants Cubts ringing every second day with little issues that aren't my problem.

 

So fortunate to have my tenant. 

 

Can't remember exactly how long it was after she moved in but I think it was about 6 months before she told me that the dishwasher has never worked haha. 

 

I fixed it as soon as I could and she was so grateful until it died again. So I bought a new one. 

 

It's not hard to be a good landlord when you have good tenants. On the other hand, dad is having worlds of trouble trying to get a tenant out of one of his properties at the moment. Lease ended weeks ago and he's still got stuff in the place. He's gone through 6 mobile numbers and never shows up to meetings. Nightmare.

We went with our agents because they were the ones we rented off and they seemed very strict and on the ball with everything, but found out what dodgy forks they can be.

Had to get the air con fixed.
They said they got a quote from their 'guy' and it came out to $1200, so I got a quote of a air con mate of mine and it was $475 (not even mates rates).

But for ~40 a week it's not bad to not have to deal with tenants directly and the day to day stuff

Such as - not only did he threaten to go to the cops about the 'stolen money' that wasn't actually stolen, he threatened to send the emails to my dad. HAHAHAHAHAHA. He literally wanted to dob on me to my own dad. Mainly because he knows dad through business (dad doesn't have anything to do with him personally but one of his partners does). Seriously though, does he really think my dad will take his side after he fired 2 out of 2 of his kids; yes, he fired my sister a few months beforehand because his mother didn't like something she said to her. He wasn't even there. He was in the US at the time. So he's fired both Ayling kids with no warning, with no reason and he wants to tell on me in the hope that I would get reprimanded? What a dead set knob.

 

Plus, dad helped me compose the emails I sent to him to ensure I wouldn't get the business relationship in any strife.
