Can't say I blame him for being annoyed with swirl marks on a brand new car, but some paint UNDER the seats and carpet? Come on... I can't say anyone's gone "Nice car, can I see under the back seat?" before...

i thought the whole 'measuring the depth of the paint' thing was a bit much...

"OH NOES! it's 2 microns smaller over here than it is over there"

well you don't want to buff off 2 microns when the paint is only 4 microns deep so I guess I can see the idea behind that... And I have to admit, the result did look good, but yeah. Just an Astra.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Long shot, but does anyone know anyone who installed Piranha alarms around the 93 era ?

I droped the buzzer/beeper thing today and I think a track or component in the PDB is rooted :( it sometimes works **

Basically I want to know

1) Will this work as a replacement http://www.ryda.com......ha remote.htm (NFI what mine is.. from what I can see, its the "super deluxe" and has 1 button)
2) Is the serial the "pin"

** when I flex it a little

Stuff goes here

Just replace the alarm Richo.. Strathfield / Ryda would be your best bet for a remote.. but, also try JayCar, a 1993 model alarm would be the most basic peice of crap, that is pretty much useless compared to today's tech... they can more than likely get a universal remote to work

Didn't think about $trathfield, but I'm going to see my stezza/alarm guys today.

A universal remote 'ey...... *browses to jaycar*

Also, for a 93 alarm it has a lot of features (ie ultrasonics etc)

One issue, if I do have the correct pin code thing and try to get it to accept the new beeper and for some reason it does not, it will wipe its memory of past controllers when going into "program" mode.

Stuff goes here

Its rooted :( Took it to an alarm specialist and the signal is good for about 1/2 a sec then goes to crap so they can't even try to program a universal remote

The risk, thankfully, is tiny.
